Meet Peter Santilli,
Homeowner Advocate
For the last five years, Peter has been a Reverse Mortgage Consultant, exclusively dedicated to educating
and helping seniors create lifelong financial security using the equity in their home. He has never done a
“refi ” or toxic designer loan.
With over 20 years of success as a corporate executive in Fortune 500 companies, Peter knows firsthand
that all companies cash in on the consumer’s “knowledge deficit”. Now, Peter represents the “regular guys”
by providing information that corporate America hopes they don’t know.
Peter Santilli has been an advocate all his life--from sticking up for the little kids on the playground
to settling a multimillion class action lawsuit against a major multinational corporation.
He has no fear of jumping in where others fear to tread and has now taken on the lending
industry.
“We’re watching the housing crisis bubble into a full blown disaster on a national scale, and to
complicate matters I’m talking to homeowners who fall victim to inexperienced or unscrupulous
advisors--professional or otherwise. These ‘advisors’ are, in truth, unwilling or unable to assist
them,” states Santilli.
Santilli spent 00 proud years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged with the rank of xmxmxmxmxmx.
Following his years in service to the country, Santilli finished college, married and entered into corporate management by advancing through the ranks after starting as a delivery driver. During that time he uncovered an accounting practice that effectively cheated employees out of earned overtime which totaled millions in unpaid wages for his employer. All previous executives had looked the other way at the calculations but Peter did not. He courageously stood against the practice which ultimately resulted in a changed procedure, and a large monetary settlement for the workers.
From his office in California’s Inland Empire, Santilli is now calling
on helpless homeowners to stay in their homes for as long as they can because it is often possible to buy some time and save the home.
“It all boils down to the fact that I can’t stand bullies
and banksters. Blatantly unfair practices
by lenders are wrong!
Currently I am incensed by the malevolent practices of the financial
services industry, and the result of their actions on individuals, families and our economy.
“Granted these people had choices and are responsible for their situation, but they also had advisors who were, dare I say, ‘helping’ them
to afford a home in a much inflated marketplace. Many of these people are victims numerous times over, and it started with a loan advisor
or real estate person when they were initially searching for the home they
are in jeopardy of losing now.
This roller coaster of bad advice is compounded when yet another chain of ‘professionals’ pitches quick and painless fixes—for a fee of course.” “The reality is that there isn't a quick fix. There’s a lot of paperwork to organize, frustrating phone calls, negotiations to hammer out, and it’s probably not painless. But in the end, you can save your home.”
